I got my little stinker back...

Well Kyler has been much better last night and today. He has not had a fever since yesterday morning. He is back to his ornery self. I laughed all day today at him. The faces he makes just cracks me up. We pulled his little St Louis hat down and he has been wearing it. He likes to put it on backwards though. He is so cute and I am going to have to get his picture with it on.

He was a little fussy when he got up from his nap today but I think that was from his teeth. He is working on 4 teeth right now. He already had the front, top 4 but now he is getting 2 more on each side. So the K9's ( I think they are called) and then the next ones. I hear these are the worst to get in. So when he got up he was just crying and nothing made him stop. I have these teething tables you are suppose to put under there tongue and let dissolve or you can dissolve in water then give it to them. SO we did this and we put on some baby oregel and that seemed to do the trick. He was fine the rest of the night.

So all in all we had a good weekend just hanging out here at home but a busy week planned. At work we are moving in to our new office on Friday so we will be doing lots of packing and moving this week. Then with being gone on Friday here at the end of the month I will be way behind on everything. Sheldon will have this night classes in St Joe Tue and Thur also. Then next Sunday is Supper Bowl. My favorite part about that is the good food we all make. We will be going over to a friends house. The guys watch the game and us girls chit chat... but with all the kids now I'm sure it will be a whole new experience.

Still sick

Well yesterday afternoon I thought he was getting better since he woke up from his nap with only 101 temp and had not have medicine for 5 1/2 hours. But the the sun went down and he suddenly didn't feel very well. I had to go to a basketball game for work so Daddy was on duty. He gave him his tylenol and put him to bed just fine. Then we I got home and we got ready to go to bed we went in to check on him. I accidently woke him up but thank goodness. I felt him when I picked him up and he was burning up. We got the Motrin and a drink of juice. I took him temp and it was like 103. Sheldon had taken his temp with the thermometer and his was only like 96. So we were scared his might actually by higher. We went and found another themometer we had from before his days. It read 103.9. WOW!!! SO I started panicking and striped him down to his diaper. We came down stairs and got a wet wash cloth and rubbed him down with that... he tolerated it better then i expected. So I took his temp again after about 20 minutes. It was only down to 103.6. So I thought we should put him in the bath. His little cheeks were so red and he was just setting there on my lap. I ask him all excited like if he wanted to take a bath because he loves baths. But he just looked at me with those sad little eys and red cheeks and shook his head no no. So I thought I would wait a little bit longer and take it again... it started comeing down. It was now 102.9. So after about an hour of rubbing his head with a cool wash cloth and being naked we finally go it down to 100.6. I put his jammies back on and was goign to try to get him to lay down. By this time he felt way better and was up playing. Little stinker. So back to bed we went. He went back to bed really good. I set my alarm to wake up in 4 hours and check on him... but he didn't fell warm so I didn't wake him up.



This morning however when he got up it was back up to 103!!! More Tylenol and hes a band new boy again. He is playing and having fun. But I'm sure it will go back up when that wears off. To make matters worse I think I am getting something. I have a stuffy noes and little head ach.

Sick little boy

Well I stayed home with Kyler today because he has had a really high temp. I got a call yesterday that his temp was 103 when he got up from his nap. So I picked him up and he was filling a little better since he had some Tylenol but as soon as that wears off his temp goes back up. It has been between 100 and 103 all evening and all morning today. He did sleep through the night which was good. But when we got up this morning his temp was back up to 102.7... yikes. I think he is one of those kids who anytime they get a fever it is really high. My mom said that is how I was.

We went to the dr this morning. They tested him for influenza but that was negative thank goodness. He did not like them sticking that think up his noes let me tell ya... but I don't blame him. Doc just thinks is a little viral mixed with teething. Just keep up the Tylenol and Motrin. Kyler has so many teeth now I can't keep them strait. He is starting on some farther in the back which I think is causing so trouble. Poor little guy. I feel so sorry for him when his temp gets up there. His little cheeks are red and he just wants to lay there and rock. He has still been drinking his juice which is good but not eating a whole lot.... he don't eat much sometimes anyway though. I will keep you posted on how the weekend goes. If he is not better by Monday we will be going back to the doctor.

Like father, Like son!!

I had to post this picture.. it is too cute. This was last night before Kyler went to bed. Notice all the blankets and stuffed animals. He has two blankets, a blankie, teddy bear, rabbit, and giraffe. When he gets up each morning or from his nap he has to gather then all up... hands then to you one at at time. It is too funny. You will see has then all gathered up to take to bed with him last night.

Chucky Cheese!!!

So I have not posted in a while and have been wanting to put these pictures on here all week. Where does the time go. Last Sunday we didn't have anything to do and I had heard there was a new Chucky Cheese just off Barry Road in KC. So we loaded up and headed down for a a fun afternoon. Well Kyler didn't like it as well as I had anticipated... he was scared of just about everything. Especially Chucky himself.



But Dad and Aunt Rachel had fun...



Kyler liked the games the most even thought he didn't really know what was going on.

They did have this little kid jungle gym thing. You went up a few steps then was in this little box with plexy glass so you could look out. He had fun in this although he was so overwhelmed with everything he wouldn't hardly even go down the slide on the other end.

So all in all last weekend was pretty good. This week has flown by like most weeks. I can't believe it is Friday. We don't really have much planed for this weekend either but we will see how it goes. I'm sure it will end up being busy.

Today has been kind of a dump as a girl I work with got a call this morning that her house was on fire. They lost pretty much everything. They have two small girls who are 2 and 3. Please keep them in your thoughts as this would be devastating.

Just wanted to leave a little note to say Happy Friday.

We did have a parents as teachers meeting the other night which went well. She said Kyler was not behind one bit. The only thing we could work on is his speaking. She agreed with me that he was totally the type that could say it but is stubborn... hmm wonder where he gets that? Anyway he was preforming right one cue. Little show off. He had to show her all his toys and played with all hers. One funny thing though... she brought a project for us to do. We were to cut out some pictures out of these magazines she had that were objects Kyler might say. Then we were to glue them on these bright colored papers and but them in the Baggie book she had made. Most kids go for the things they are not suppose to have so I figured he should grab the scissors. But no he grabbed the glue stick. He thought it was chap stick. The kid loves chap stick. He cried and cried because we would not take the lid off. Then he Finlay got the lid off himself and started rubbing it on his lips. Poor kid. We are trying to get him to talk and he is gluing his mouth shut!!!

Happy New Year

Well we had a very happy new year. Last night we went over to some friends house. There were 6 couples. Each of us had a child... Kyler being the oldest. Two still pregnant. We are so in a different time then we were a few years ago. The guys hung out down stairs playing cards and us girls set up stairs waiting for the ball to drop and gossiping. It was a good time. And would you believe... Kyler stayed up till MIDNIGHT!!! Guess he wanted to ring in the new year with the rest of us. I really kind of thought this would happen. He's not one being rocked to sleep and being in a strange place I didn't figure he would just lay down and go to sleep. He did really good.

Today was a nice family day. We got up and had breakfast... just cereal, nothing fancy as we were all pretty tired. Kyler woke up about 8:00am. Sheldon took him down stairs and I slept about 30 to 40 more minutes. About 10:30 Kyler was ready for a nap. He slept a while then we ate some lunch. We decided there wasn't much to do and we were board so we headed to St Joe. Nothing really to do but we wanted to go to Sam's. HUH!! We did a little shopping at Target of course and a few other places. Then discovered Sam's was closed. Can you believe that. Out of all the places we went today that is the last place I would have guessed would be closed. I mean its about the same as Walmart and they are open almost year round.
So anyway... Sheldon is going to start taking some classes at Hilyard Technical Center in a few weeks for work. We drove around and found that. He wanted to make sure he knew were he was going for his first day of school. Then we decided to get a bite to eat. We ate at the Olive Garden.. YUM! I had not ate there in so long. Kyler was really good and ate quite a bit of my pasta. He started yelling through when we were about ready to leave. He just likes to hear himself I think. I would put my finger in front of my mouth and say shhhh. Then he would do it. It was pretty funny.

Kyler has started saying a little more over the last couple days. Some of his new things he has said are uhh oh, shhh, diesel( don't laugh, I know its funny, Sheldon said it the other night while we were in the truck and then Kyler said it. It was to funny. He said it several times after that to when we ask him to. He don't usually say things when you tell him to but this he would. The guys last night nicknamed him diesel. Poor kid.) Back to what he has been saying. He also (a could days after Christmas) decided to start saying what Santa says... HoHoHo. Its really cute. He also said Mama some today. Oh and one more... today he was eating lunch and I said, "did you eat it all gone?" then he said "all gone". Wow I can' t believe he says all that now. Also if I have not told you over the Christmas holiday he said "that's stupid" and Dinosaur. I know... can't say MaMa but he can say dinosaur. Crazy kid.

Well I'm still tired from last night and I have to work in the morning... better get to bed.
