Summer fun

I first want to start out how proud I am of my big boy. He has been wearing big boy pants all week and had just a couple accidents. He went all day today with no accidents. We had even put a diaper on for bed and he still told me he had to potty and he did. Sheldon stayed home with him again today just to be sure he is over his hand, foot, and mouth. I think he will be going to the babysitters tomorrow though. I am still concerned a little about how soar his mouth is. His poor little gums are even red and bleed if he bumps them or anything. Sheldon brought him today today to meet me for lunch. He ever wore his big boy pants to town and peed on the potty.

Tonight it was so hot we got a new sprinkler and tried it out. Kyler likes sprinkels so when I ask him if he wanted to get the sprinkler out he just kept saying sprinkles!! He liked it for a little bit but then was off to something else. Let me tell ya. Sprinkler and sand box's do no mix well!!!

Since Kyler was being such a big boy lately I got him some Popsicles. He loved them... I think he ended up eating 3 tonight. Not to mention the HUGH bowl of mac and cheese. He loves that stuff and since his mouth has been soar that is about all he will eat.

So, where to start? I has been so long I don't know what I have posted and what I have not. I did get some pictures on here finally. They are just some random stuff.

I am at home today with Kyler. He started running a high fever last Thursday night or Friday. He said his mouth or teeth hurt so I figured he was getting more teeth. Then he stayed the night at him Grandma and Grandpa's. We picked him up Sunday morning and noticed some soars around his mouth. I had him stick his tongue out and I seen some more on his tongue. Knowing it was going around I figured it was the Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. So yesterday we took him to the dr and he agreed. Even though he only had it in the mouth he said that sometimes is the case. So he is very crabby when the Tylenol or Motrin wears off. Plus he won't hardly eat. But we are making it.

He is now in a big boy bed. This is the first pictures I had taken of him in his new bed... he was being silly...
This was a couple weeks ago... he was playing with his sticker book..

Then he went for a ride in the golf cart with daddy... he likes to ride in the basket.

Last night we pulled Sheldon's truck up in the yard and washed it, then we washed my jeep. It was so hot out it was nice to get sprayed a little with the water... Kyler was a big help...you can tell he is working so hard with his tongue sticking out.

Well i just have a few minutes and wanted to post a little update on the toddler bed. The first night was a breeze. He did not get up once. Then the second night he was up for 2 hours. I first heard him crying so I ran in there. He wasn't there. So i followed the crys and found him setting on the top step of the stairs with all his blankies in hand. I took him back to bed and rocked him just a minute. He must have thought it was time to get up. Just minutes after I got back in bed hear he came out of his room again. I hollered at him and he came in our room. I took him back to bed once again. This went on for about 2 hours. I was very unsure about this new bed at that point. But ever since then he has went to bed good and stayed in bed all night. Every once in a while he will wake up and cry but he usually stays in bed until I get in there. I rock him for about 2 minutes and put him back in bed and he is good.

Next updated... potty training. He is really in to Pee Pee like daddy... aka standing up. So he has a little step stool in by the toilet that he can pull out. He ran in there last night right after we got home and pulled his pants down and i helped take his diaper off (he can do it himself but it takes a little longer that way). So he stood there a little while... and nothing. Then I let him run around with no pants on for a while. I was making supper in the kitchen and he ran by... pee pee, pee pee. So I let him run in there while I washed my hands and stuff. Before I even got in there i could hear it hitting the water. He was so proud. The funny thing is though after he does it he is so happy and we clap and stuff so he wants to do it again. He gets made when i tell him he has to wait till next time. So then we decided to put big boy pants on. He ended up peeing in the potty 4 times and had 0 accidents!!!!!!!!!! I could not believe it. I ask him if he wanted to pee pee on the potty this morning but he is kind of like me... not a morning person. So he is never really into it in the morning. I'm not going to get to excited this usually only last about a day and today he probably won't even try. Oh well... it's progress I guess.

Big boy bed

Hello everyone!!! I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted on here!! Where does the time go?? Work has been so crazy lately that when I get home I am in no mood to get on the computer. So I have been trying to trying to get some new pictures on the computer to post but I just haven't found the time. SO I decided to post anyway. That is much easier!!

Kyler got a new big boy bed today!!! I have been debating and debating on getting a toddler bed or just moving him into a twin bed. Well our bedrooms upstairs are so small that if you even have a twin bed in there you don't have much room to work with. So I have a great idea to have Sheldon build a half loft bed so we can store stuff under it.... but when will that get done???

Well today I was fixing Kylers lunch and we were playing. I would chase him in the other room and get him down and tickle him till he couldn't hardly breath. He kept running in the kitchen saying "Mommy tickle me." Well I chased him in the dinning room and he run up the stairs and said "hide." So I just let him go and was doing to make his plate then go get him. Well I heard him yell Mommy a couple times but I just hollered up and told him to come down.. but he didn't. So went up to get him. When I got the the top of the stairs I could kind of hear him crying. So I went in his room.... he had somehow crawled into his crib and could not get out!!! He has never tried to climb our and I know he could if he tried... but I would never had dreamed he would climb IN it!!

So after that we decided he should probably have a toddler bed. I ask him if he wanted a big boy bed and he said No. Then I said you are a big boy aren't you? I ask him are you a big boy or a baby... he said baby! I don't think he really knew what I was asking or what he was saying through. We found one at Walmart today that matched his bedroom furniture PERFECT!!! So the next question is Will he sleep in it??

So tonight we went up and rocked a little while he drank his sippy cup of milk. I ask him a couple times if he was ready to get in bed and he said no. Then his milk was all gone and he said "bed?" So I gave him kisses and put him in bed. Covered him up and went back down stairs. I decided I would go check on him about 15 min later and he was sound asleep!!! He really is a good boy!!!

Other then that nothing new happening around here. The potty training isn't going as good as I would like. Although we have not done to much with it. He now thinks he want to pee pee like daddy... standing up!! Its kind of funny though because he has his little step by the toilet and he Will run in there and say pee pee like daddy. He will pull his pants down by himself and take his diaper off!!! Yes it's about time to get this potty thing taken care of!! Well tonight he ran in there and I heard him take his diaper off so I just thought i would give him a minute and then go check on him... well just about the time I was going to go in there we heard a big bang. Then he started crying. Sheldon and I both ran in there... i don't know what he had done but I think he fell off his step. He got a Little bloody lip... I hope that don't scare him away from it. Now I say he wants to pee pee like daddy standing up but.... he had never peed standing up YET. SO i don't know if he is going to get the hang of it or not? The bad thing is he won't pee standing up and know he wont set down. If you do get him to set down you have to hold him on there... he wont use his seat insert that he has always used? I guess its just not he cool thing to do these days.

Well I suppose I better get to bed. Sheldon just hollered in her and said Kyler was up, he could hear him talking??? SO we will see how the night goes!!!
