Great Weekend

We have had a really good weekend... but you know what tomorrow is??? MONDAY!!!

Saturday morning Sheldon had some Freshman Seminar stuff today at work... he teaching Freshman Seminar this semester if I have not mentioned that before. So Kyler and I decided to run to St Joe to do some quick shopping. I really wanted to get to Once Upon A Child to see if they have there Halloween costumes out yet. I got his costume there last year(turtle) and he wanted to be a frog this year so I figured they might have one... and they did!!! It is so cute. It was from Old Navy and is made out of fleece. It should be warm if it is cold out... which it usually is. He loved it!! I am still working on getting a picture of him in it. He was such a good boy all day shopping. I told him if he was good we would go to the store and ride the horsey!! St Joe mall has a carousel now and so we did. He was kind of scared at first but after he realized I was riding to he was ok... but then it got going really fast!! I was kind of scared!! He clung on to my arm for a while but ended up wanting to ride it again when it was done.

Yesterday evening we went to a friends house and had a little weeny roast. Perfect weather for that let me tell ya. The kids all had fun playing outside and on the swing set. It was very laid back and relaxing.

Today had been a day full of cleaning and cooking so far. Sheldon had to run up to his mom and dad's to help with some remodeling of there bathroom and he took Kyler with him. I got a lot of deep cleaning done but actually barley put a dent in what I need to get done around here! Why is it while I am cleaning I always think... this would be so much easier if I would just do a little each night or even a little each weekend... but no, I let it pile up until it take two weeks to get cough back up!!! Oh well... someday I will learn. I have Friday off this week and of course Monday... so I hope to get some more knocked out then. You know that dreaded scrubbing the toilet and shower, sweeping and moping, filing bills, and I really want to clean out some closets, cabinets,and dressers to.. WOW what a list huh?

Well Kyler is taking a nap now and Sheldon is doing more Freshman Seminar stuff so I have figured the check book and paid some bills.. now I need to change out the laundry and fold some clothes so I better get. Hope to post some pictures this week.... add that to my list of stuff to do!!!

Roastem'

So I have been so busy at work I have had several late nights. By the time I get home and do the Mom and Wife thing I don't have time to do the blogger thing!! But tonight...after another late night at the office...well not to late. I got off work about 6 tonight. I headed home and Sheldon told me we were going to roast wienies. He found an old bar B Q lid to make a camp fire. Kyler didn't know what to think of it. He just watched as Sheldon tried and tried to get the fire going. Then by the time the fire was ready he was board with it and had went on about his business. He enjoyed eating the "dot dog" though. He thought it was pretty cool having it on the bun. He took a big bite out of the middle and said sandwich. Then came the marshmallows. He was not sure about them at first. He couldn't wait to roast one so he had to eat one a head of time. Then my little clean freak was a little worried about the sticky on his hands. But he quickly got over that and ate it.

Well that is about all of our evening. We had so much fun we are thinking about having a family camp out in the back yard this weekend. I don't know how well it will go. We will try the whole camping thing in the back yard first... close to home if you know what I mean. We may have to venture back inside to go to sleep. Not sure? But I know Kyler will love the tent... but will he sleep in it? That is the question?

So its been along time again... OMG what the heck... its the blue and under line thing again!!!

Maybe that mean I need to update this more often??? So here are some pictures we took last month on a trip to campus to play at there play ground. We went over to the pond to check out the fish. They were out of fish food so we had to look for some worms.

Kyler has just been being his normal ornery self. My babysitter just text me that he peed on her bay window this morning!!! On the inside!!! Just pulled his pants down and peed! Little turd! I'm sure there are lots of other stories I could tell on him but I can't think of any others right now?

Well I am just on my lunch and got back a little early and thought I would put a post on here. So Better get back to work.

its been a while...

Well I was doing so well posting then it has been a while again. Time just seems to be flying!!!

Kyler has had a pretty busy week and weekend. Last week we left Thursday night and headed to Kirksville for the weekend.... just Kyler and I. We spent the night at my Grandma and Grandpa's Thursday night, went and ate lunch at my other grandma's house Friday for lunch.

My sister, brother-n-law, and nephew were all up for the week from Louisiana also. So that was fun. We went to the big NEMO fair for a short time Friday afternoon. I was not sure what Kyler would think of the rides but we decided to try it. First he did not take a nap on Friday so he had just fell asleep in the car just before we got there. Then it was kind of chilly... can you believe that for JULY!!! So we walked around a while checking things out. He decided he wanted to try this one ride with little cars that just go in a circle. Well about twice around the circle and he was crying so they let him off... that was the end of the rides. So we walked through the barns and seen the animals... he loved that. Then as we were leaving there was a guy with this spider monkey dressed up in clothes. You give him a quarter and he puts it in his pocket. This was his favorite thing of the fair. He kept talking about the monkey all weekend.

We went back to the fair Saturday night for the demo derby. It was so packed that we couldn't really see it but my dad's wrecker service was hauling the broke down cars off the track so Kyler liked watching PaPa.

Then Sunday we went to Church with Grandma and Grandpa and had lunch at there house. Then on the road again. Kyler was so tired from his long weekend that he slept the entire way home.

He was a very good boy all weekend though and only had one accident while takign a nap on Saturday. I think that is pretty good for being in strange places all weekend. One night he didn't even pee in his pullup and waited till he got up to go potty. I am so proud of him with the whole potty training thing!!!

Happy 4th of July

Summer fun...

The last few nights have been very fun. What the heck... why is it underlineing everythign I type??? Anyway... the weather has been so nice that we spend most of our evenings outside. We got a few fireworks the night before last... MOnday night. I did't get a whole lot becuase I was not sure how Kyler woudl handle them. But he loved them. Now we didnt' get anythign really loud or big so we will see about thoes. He loved the snaps... the little thigns you throw down on the concreat that pop. He would pop one then just giggle that giggle i can't get enough of!! He makes me laugh so much lately. Well except for 5:30am this morning when he came in my room with all his blankies ready to go down stairs. He kept saying come see mommy, come see.

He has been doing AWESOME on the potty. He only wears two diapers a day... nap time and bed time. He has an accasional accident and that is usually in the bathroom trying to get his pants down. I'm so proud of him. I feel a little guilty becuase I never really had to work on it... he just decided to do it all by himself one day and has ever since. Can't get better then that.

Summer fun

I first want to start out how proud I am of my big boy. He has been wearing big boy pants all week and had just a couple accidents. He went all day today with no accidents. We had even put a diaper on for bed and he still told me he had to potty and he did. Sheldon stayed home with him again today just to be sure he is over his hand, foot, and mouth. I think he will be going to the babysitters tomorrow though. I am still concerned a little about how soar his mouth is. His poor little gums are even red and bleed if he bumps them or anything. Sheldon brought him today today to meet me for lunch. He ever wore his big boy pants to town and peed on the potty.

Tonight it was so hot we got a new sprinkler and tried it out. Kyler likes sprinkels so when I ask him if he wanted to get the sprinkler out he just kept saying sprinkles!! He liked it for a little bit but then was off to something else. Let me tell ya. Sprinkler and sand box's do no mix well!!!

Since Kyler was being such a big boy lately I got him some Popsicles. He loved them... I think he ended up eating 3 tonight. Not to mention the HUGH bowl of mac and cheese. He loves that stuff and since his mouth has been soar that is about all he will eat.
