Santa baby...

Well I am home today with a sick boy. Well he don't act to sick right now but he is medicated. He has had a runny noes for several days now and I think it has turned into an ear infection. He woke up yesterday morning and was crying saying his ear hurt. I gave him some medicine through out the day yesterday. He told me a few other times that his ear hurt so I figured it was. This morning at 4 am he came in to our bed and climbed in. He felt really warm so I ask if he wanted some medicine. He said no. I figured if he didn't fell good he would have said yes. So for sake of not making him upset and in hopes he would go back go sleep I didn't push it. Well he must have been uncomfortable because he flopped and flopped around and never went back to sleep. He said he was hot so we striped him down to his undies. Finally at 5 am i told him he had to take some medicine. Sheldon then got up with him and went down stairs. He came and crawled in to bed with me again just before 6am. He laid down and fell back to sleep. I called the dr first thing this morning... just like every other mother in town on a Monday morning at 8am. Twice she said she had an appointment at a time then before she could get in to schedule it it was gone!! We did get an appointment at 1:10 so hopefully we can get some antibiotic if it is an ear infection.

We had a big weekend. Friday I got off work at 1 for our Christmas party. It was a blast. We went to KC. We ate at Wild Bills at Legends then went to a comedy club. Then back to Wild Bills. They had a guy who was singing live... he was really good and easy on the eyes if you know what I mean!! Then Saturday morning we had to get up pretty early (8am!!) and head out because Sheldon had to work the basketball games in Maryville. We did hit IHOP before heading out of course!! A big thank you to Aunt Rachel for coming up and staying with Kyler for the evening!!

Then SANTA came to town Saturday night. Our babysitters husband(the kids call him uncle Chester) plays Santa each year. When Kyler seen him he gave him the stare down. He started talking to Kyler and Kyler just started looking around... he ask "where Chester at?" He recognized the voice but I don't think he understood it was coming from Santa. Shewww!!


Here is attempt one of getting close. Mommy had to set on Santa's lap... But Kyler was happy cause he got some candy!

Then we tried to set him on Santa's lap by himself... that didn't work out to well?
But before we left we went back up there... I guess he had time to adjust to him and set there... he wasn't about to talk or look at him though.

Ok... and by they way. I took my batteries out of my camera the other day and forgot to reset the silly date. It was not Jan 6, 2008!!

Ok....now this is not trick photography. Kyler is truly a little monkey. If you put him up on the door way he will hand there like a little monkey. He just happened to look when I took this pictures and i just barely got Sheldon out of the pictures. He was standing right there...i swear!

Can't wait for Christmas

I can't wait for Christmas and neither can Kyler. He is going to be so fun this year. I can't believe it is his 3rd Christmas!! He has started talking about Santa. The other night he said Mommy when Santa coming? I told him it would be a while and that it would get really cold out and might even snow before Santa comes. He set there and you could see the wheels turning. He said Mommy I hide. I told him he didn't need to hide Santa was nice. He looked at Sheldon and said Daddy, Santa nice! Then he set there a little while longer and said Mommy Santa take shoes off? So seriously. I said well I guess if he has mud on his boots he will take them off. So he is ready for him to come. We will get to do the whole milk and cookies bit this year... he will be so funny! I will have to find out when Santa is coming to town and take him down there... like he will set on his lap? Hes kind of Chicken when it comes to things like that.

Happy Halloween

Well the night has came to an end and it is about time for bed. Kyler really enjoyed trick er treating tonight. He LOVES candy!! Our stops were kind of spread out so he didn't get much feel for it. When we got home we did walk around to a few houses so he was getting the hand of it.

When we got home we finally had to hide his pumpkin full of candy because he was going to eat until he was sick I think... must get that from his mommy!

Florida Pictures

Well I may put a few more later but they take forever so I am just trying a few pictures at a time.

This is a sideways picture of our hotel in Orlando. It was really nice!! I really like it for the $45 a night we got it for on Priceline.com name your own price!!! Also you will see a water fall and a crashed plane. This was a nice little miniature gold place just outside. We didn't golf but liked checking out all there little alligators.. hope to post a picture of them later to.

Florida

Hello from the sun shine state!! We are having a lot of fun. We are currently back in Tampa now. Yesterday we went to Universal Studios... that was a lot of fun. I'm not a big roller coaster fan so this was perfect. it was a bunch of 3D movies, which I had never seen and then like simulation type rids. Our favorite was the Simpson's ride. There were 8 people in a "car". The "car" went up through the sealing then it was a huge run set up kind of like a theater of a bunch of "cars". You couldn't really even seen the other cars unless you looked really hard. Then the whole room as far as you could see every direction was a screen that showed this show of the Simpson's. But they were on roller coasters ans stuff... your car moved around and shook to make it feel like you were riding the coaster to. It was neat. Then we ate at Margarittaville and headed back to the room to cool off. It was HOT!! It was a record high in Orlando yesterday... 89!

Then this morning we went to Seaworld. That was pretty cool too. I have always been interested in seals, dolphins, and whales so I was very excited to see shamu. They were big but I had imagined them even bigger then that. We seen several shows and ate lunch... ouch. Why does stuff have to cost so dang much in paces like this? Pop was $2.99(not very big either) and it was cheaper then water. We also got to touch a dolphin. He came up by where we were standing and jumped up on the ledge and rolled over so we rubbed his belly.

We headed out from there to Tampa. It seems like a pretty quick drive with the out skirts of Orlando then the out skirts of Tampa. We are staying at the Hyatt and we are right by the ocean. We are on the 11th floor and have an awesome view. I can't wait to go check out the beach tomorrow.

I hope to get some pictures on here but I don't know if our connection is fast enough to download them till I get home? We will see.

We got out a while ago and found a target to get some snacks and bottled water...tired of spending enough to buy a 12 pack of water on one bottle!!

I have a terrible sun burn from today. Yesterday i didn't even get anything and was supper hot so I decided to wear a tank top today. Also have blisters so had they are bleeding. Not fun!

Well got some meetings tomorrow afternoon but free in the morning. Don't know what we will do though?

PS...Kyler is having fun at Grandma and Grandpa's. Just called and check in with him earlier. They were shopping at Walmart... wonder how spoiled he will be when we get home???

Jack-O-Lantern

Its been a while but I got a video for you. We carved pumpkins the other night and Kyler had a good time. He was not real sure about all the pumpkin goo on his hands. I bet he said eww gross like 100 times. That is what he is saying in this very very short video. I made it really short so I could download it faster. Hope you like it.

So.. anyway... Sheldon and I are setting at KCI waiting!! They tell you to get here early but why?We are heading to sunny Florida. I can't wait for a little bit of warmer weather. I don't know what Kyler is going to think with us gone for so long? I know I will miss him!!

Well maybe you will get another post in the next few days since I will have the laptop with us!

Someone forgot to tell him...

Well we have a sick boy again... but someone forgot to tell him!!! He has been fighting a runny noes for about a week now but started a cough on Friday morning. I just kind of thought it was from the drainage but when he was still coughing Friday night I was a little worried as we were going into the weekend. But he acted just fine playing and laughing and no fever so I thought well we will just see. Then Saturday he was still coughing some but still not to bad and still no fever. He also ate like no other Saturday so I just thought well we will see Monday how he is and call the Dr. He got down late for his name and when he woke up he was very crabby, coughing even more and saying it hurt. But still no temp. I also started noticing a little bit of a wheeze... that I did not like. That to me meant it was working it's way to the lungs and that is not good! So I debated on the Urgent Care Clinic in St Joe but was not sure what time they closed. Waited it out till this morning and still not any better. So Theresa(aka Sashy) the lovely babysitter lady I have went with us to St Joe this morning to check out this Urgent-take a number clinic they have down there. We checked in and they warned us it would be like an hour to an hour and a half wait... (sigh) OK!! What else could we do. I felt like I was setting in a big bubble with all kinds of infection around me!!! YUCK... where is the hand sanitizer!!?!?!? SO... after our hour and a half wait with some coughing kids and some screaming kids we got in. They said he has an ear infection in one ear...surprising to me as he had no signs of an ear infection! And we get to do lovely nebulizer breathing treatments. She said it was most likely just a bad cold that was working on his upper respiratory area. So then we decided we better hit up the Walgreens there since we were not sure what pharmacy would be open in Maryville... yep another 30 minute wait. But all in all Kyler was a very very good boy for being sick and we made it home with just a few tear shed. He was so tired on the way home he just kept rubbing his eyes. But would you believe when we got home he was like wired!!! I went upstairs with him and we laid down for like 30 minuets and I don't think he shut up once! So not that great of a weekend I guess...

and WHAT THE HECK...SNOW!!! I thought it was still October? Guess maybe I will be a snow man for Halloween? I just keep counting down the days till I get to set out on the beach in Florida!! Can't wait for that... we leave Friday Oct 23rd.

Well better get the munchkin calmed down so we can do bath and another breathing treatment... he does them pretty well if you can keep him set still that long!!
