BIG NEWS!

Well i have decided to post our BIG BIG news on our blog today. If you can't make it out in the pictures about i hope you at least can tell we are expecting... but if you look closer and cout'em you will see TWO BABIES(as Kyler puts it). That is 20 fingers and 20 toes!

We took a test on Valentines day and discovered we were pregnant... but had to wait till march 11th for our first visit. We decided even before we got pregnant that we wanted to Dr again at St Luke's in KC. That is where Kyler was born and i love it down there. We felt it was the best choice...if they would have us that is. It is a hour and 45 minute drive but well worth it if you ask me.

We we went in for our fist appointment and had already been told we would have an ultrasound so i was pumped about that. First off she told me my bladder was REALLY full... um didn't have to tell me i was about to pee my pants. Then she was like so is this your first ultrasound...instantly my heart sunk thinking what does she see that is wrong...but then she went on and ask us what we would think of 2! I looked at Sheldon who was grinning from ear to eat! Then I said... i would think we have a psychic 3 year old! Even before we were pregnant if we would ask Kyler if he wanted a boy baby or a girl baby he would ALWAYS EVERY TIME stick his little finger up and say... one, two babies mommy! Kind of freaky if you think about it... so two babies to him was no new news!

We then met with the dr who is actually a perinatologist, high risk specialist. They are a group of dr's. Three of them. One delivered Kyler, one i had seen while i was in the hospital, and this was the third and finally one that we had not yet met... and not to any surprise we really liked him as much as the others.

With Kyler i had preecampsia. No one knows for sure what causes preecamplis nor is there anything to prevent it. So he said nothing says I will 100% get it next time...HOWEVER... with twins that also increases your risk. The experts think that preeclampsia has something to do with the placenta and how it implants... there for i have a double whammy since i have two placentas this go around. yes... they said from what they can see as of right now each baby has its own sack and own placenta... most likely they are not identical but he said even identical twins can have their own sack and placenta. The only way we will know for sure prior to birth is if the sex turns out to be one boy and one girl. So anyway... back to my story about preeclampsia... so basically they don't know if i will or wont get it, there is nothing to do to prevent from getting it, we will just have to monitor closely and deal with it if it happens.

So we are very excited and just hoping all goes well. Right now I am just hoping and praying to get to 12 weeks when i will fell better. I haven't been to bad other then eating myself out of house and home! I am now 9 1/2 weeks along... long ways to go...hopefully! I don't go to the dr again until April 9th... that seems way to far away! He was going to have me come back in 3 weeks instead of 4 but i have to go to KC on the 9th anyway so i thought i could hold off one more week...now i am so anxious to go i wish i would have kept the 3 week appointment. So i figure i will go back about every 3 weeks for now. I have calculated that if I go back in three weeks after my next appointment and then 3 weeks after that I will be right at 18 weeks(end of May). He said i will have a ultrasound each visits but probably just with a little portable one they pull in the room... then we will have the other high tech(like we had last time) around 18 weeks to do all the measurements and make sure all is going well... this is when i hope to find out what we are having!

Well that's about all i got right now. We will for sure keep you posted and updated with all dr visits.
